The TEAM EI Colorado Training series includes a welcome video and three live webinar recordings. These are the initial professional training developed by EI Colorado to provide the public and the workforce with the foundational knowledge about the TEAM EI Colorado model, transdisciplinary teams, structured team meetings, teaming discussions, coaching as an adult interaction style in Early Intervention, and primary provider service delivery.
The training series is an integral part of the workforce-driven initiative to improve services for children and families, and support provider recruitment and retention
The entire training series is required statewide for all service coordinators and providers working with or for an EI Broker
The 10-minute video "Welcome to TEAM EI Colorado" is required for every employee of an EI Broker, including but not limited to: referral and intake, billing, finance, data, administrative support, and leaders.
EI Colorado service coordinators and providers must complete the TEAM EI Colorado Launch training in the Professional Development Information System (PDIS). To learn more, navigate to the Required Training & Opportunities for Technical Assistance page.
TEAM EI Colorado newsletters are shared with Early Intervention Coordinators on the 5th of each month and are available for the EI workforce and public to view. Select TEAM EI Colorado Newsletters to view all communication shared.
The implementation of TEAM EI Colorado is being revised in response to concerns from some EI Brokers and EI professionals.
EI Colorado met with the implementation team members in Cohorts 1 and 2, and EI Coordinators in all 20 programs, to determine next steps together
It was decided that a training-only approach for all Early Intervention (EI) professionals is the best path forward at this time
This approach will replace the previously planned Cohort structure and ensure that all EI Brokers across the state learn simultaneously
Five EI Brokers are committed to implementing TEAM EI Colorado on a smaller scale within their communities:

Implementation team members in Cohorts 1 & 2, as well as EI Coordinators, met on December 2, 2025, to discuss their specific training needs moving forward

Details regarding the statewide required training will be shared no later than February 2026
