Implementation
The implementation of TEAM EI Colorado is being revised in response to concerns from some EI Brokers and EI professionals.
- EI Colorado met with the implementation team members in Cohorts 1 and 2, and EI Coordinators in all 20 programs, to determine next steps together
- It was decided that a training-only approach for all Early Intervention (EI) professionals is the best path forward at this time
- This approach will replace the previously planned Cohort structure and ensure that all EI Brokers across the state learn simultaneously
Five EI Brokers are committed to implementing TEAM EI Colorado on a smaller scale within their communities:
- Community Connections
- Counties served: Dolores, San Juan, Montezuma, La Plata, Archuleta
- Community Options:
- Counties served: Delta, Montrose, San Miguel, Ouray, Gunnison, Hinsdale
- Horizons:
- Counties served: Moffat, Routt, Jackson, Grand, Rio Blanco
- Starpoint:
- Counties served: Fremont, Chaffee, Custer
- The Resource Exchange:
- Counties served: El Paso, Teller, Park
Training-Only
What: The
required training-only approach consists of four introductory videos and two Launch Training videos that cover foundational concepts and implementation guidance. The Launch Training was developed for EI Brokers implementing TEAM EI Colorado, and the model aligns with best practices in Early Intervention.
When: The TEAM EI Colorado Launch Training will be available on April 1, 2026, and must be completed by
9/30/26, including billing, if applicable.
Where: The training is located in the Professional Development Information System (PDIS), and
TEAM EI Colorado Launch Training User Guide and instructions for registering in the PDIS are available in the Knowledge Management System. A training certificate for 7 contact hours will be provided upon completion of the Launch Training.
